Esquilo terrestre do Cabo
O esquilo terrestre do Cabo é encontrado na maioria das partes mais secas da África Austral, desde a África do Sul, até o Botswana, e até a Namíbia, incluindo o Parque Nacional Etosha.
O nome "esquilo terrestre do Cabo" é um pouco enganador, pois ele tem uma área de habitação bem maior e não restrito às proximidades da cidade do Cabo (Capetown).
